The modern medicine practice define hypothyroidism as the disease state originated due to formation of antibodies against thyroid gland and hormonal imbalance and incorporate the use of hormone replacement i.e. The Ayurveda describe hypothyroidism as the state of imbalance of Tridoshas and suggest the treatment via use of herbal plant extracts, life style modifications like practicing yoga and various dietary supplements.
